Cast: Ben Kingsley, Avan Jogia, Nonso Anozie, Sibylla Deen, Iddo Goldberg, Alexander Siddig, Kylie Bunbury, Peter Gadiot. Tut will be shot entirely on location in Morocco and Canada this fall and will debut on the network in 2015. Michael Vickerman ( Impact) is writer/executive producer, with The Fosters creators/executive producers Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige as writers. Tut is the perfect addition to our slate of distinctive originals that appeal to a broad audience. Executive producing the project are Muse Entertainment president Michael Prupas, Muse USA president Joel S. Just as he takes control of his nation and his destiny, he is betrayed. Against all odds, Tut grows from an insecure and manipulated prince to a hero on the battlefield, leading his kingdom into war and victory. Although Tut rules as Pharaoh, he is controlled like a puppet by three formidable men who plot against him and vie for the throne themselves. The neophyte ruler is forced to marry his sister in order to maintain the dynasty. A young Tut is thrust into power after the murder of his father. It explores the drama of power, political backstabbing, war and murder and chronicles King Tut’s rise to glory, his efforts to rule a chaotic empire and the enigma surrounding his death. However, the six reasons below will demonstrate the supposedly diverse cast of the miniseries is a continuation of the white supremacists’ tactic of whitewashing the Ancient Egyptian narrative. ![]() The six-part series, from Canadian production company MUSE Entertainment ( The Kennedys), is based on historical facts from recently discovered DNA evidence. The project has been on the fast track since Spike took it in for development last September with Michael Vickerman ( Impact) as writer/executive producer, The Fosters creators/executive.
